Overview

In general, a software agent is a persistent, goal-oriented computational entity that runs without direct supervision to perform some function for an end user or another program. Software agents can generally activate and maintain themselves, not requiring interaction with a human user.

Agents at Obkio

At Obkio, we developed a software agent to measure network and application performance and availability. Four types of agents are available, namely software, hardware, public, and virtual appliance agents, all of which have the same features. This makes sure deployment is easy no matter where you want to increase visibility and monitor performance. Furthermore, users can interact with our public agents, which we manage in public clouds such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. If you want to know more about agents at Obkio, you can visit our website for more information.
